Georgia controlled key stretches with physical defense, holding Vanderbilt to just 37% from the field. Vanderbilt's Mikayla Blakes and Justine Pissott did all they could, combining for 50 of the team's 74 points.
The loss came just a day after the Commodores were revealed as a projected No. 1 seed in the NCAAโs Top 16 preview, making the defeat an even tougher blow as March approaches.
